Terms and Conditions of Sale

Press Start Cards

Last updated: 4 October 2026

ARTICLE 1 — IDENTIFICATION OF THE SELLER AND SCOPE OF APPLICATION

These General Terms and Conditions of Sale, hereinafter the ‘GTC’, govern sales made on the website https://press-start-cards.fr/ by:

Press Start Cards is a sole trader business operated by Guillaume Girard under the micro-enterprise scheme, registered under SIREN number 514 076 553 and with the Blois Trade and Companies Register (RCS).

Press Start Cards ’s legal details and contact information can be found on the ‘Legal Notice’ page of the website.

These Terms and Conditions apply to all customers placing orders on the website, with no commercial distinction between private individuals and businesses. Where certain legal provisions apply specifically to consumers, they shall apply in accordance with the legislation in force.

Placing an order implies the customer’s unconditional acceptance of these Terms and Conditions of Sale, having had the opportunity to read them before finalising their order.

These Terms and Conditions are available at all times on the website and are maintained in the version applicable on the date of the order.

ARTICLE 2 — PRODUCTS ON OFFER

Press Start Cards It sells two main categories of products.

2.1. Finished and packaged products

These are products manufactured or sourced by Press Start Cards and offered to customers in their finished state, without individual customisation based on the customer’s files or specific requirements.

This category includes, amongst others, but is not limited to:

  • Press Start Cards s and collectable cards;
  • certain games or game components;
  • dice;
  • game pieces;
  • tokens;
  • cubes;
  • other game accessories or components;
  • any other finished and packaged products offered on the website at a later date.

The key product features, packaging, quantity, any warnings, price and, where applicable, restrictions on use are set out on the product page or during the ordering process.

2.2. Personalised products

Products are considered to be personalised if they are manufactured, printed, cut, folded, assembled or finished specifically from:

  • files supplied by the customer;
  • information or content provided by the customer;
  • in a configuration chosen by the customer;
  • specifically requested dimensions, quantities, materials or finishes;
  • or any combination of these items.

This includes, in particular, personalised cards, card games, decks, game rules, instruction leaflets, personalised booster packs, game boards, boxes and other products printed or finished to order.

As these products are manufactured to the customer’s specifications, they have specific technical characteristics and tolerances, as described in these Terms and Conditions of Sale.

ARTICLE 3 — PRODUCT SPECIFICATIONS

Press Start Cards We endeavour to present the products accurately and clearly.

The photographs, illustrations, simulations and previews displayed on the website are intended to present the product and, in the case of a personalised product, to help the customer check their design.

The images displayed on screen do not constitute a physical colour proof, unless a physical proof has been expressly ordered and approved.

Technical specifications, which may change depending on supply or manufacturing methods, may be updated by Press Start Cards, provided that the essential characteristics of the product ordered remain consistent with those presented to the customer at the time of ordering.

ARTICLE 4 — PRICES

Prices are shown in euros.

The price applicable to the order is the price displayed at the time of final confirmation of the order.

Delivery charges and, where applicable, packaging costs are calculated based on the destination, weight, volume, type and quantity of the products, and are shown before the order is finally confirmed.

Prices may change over time, depending in particular on the cost of raw materials, consumables, transport, energy, equipment and changes to the product range. Any subsequent price changes will not affect orders that have already been confirmed and paid for.

As at the date of this update, where the VAT exemption scheme applies, the statement ‘VAT not applicable, Article 293 B of the CGI’ is used in accordance with the tax regime in force.

ARTICLE 5 — ORDERING PROCESS

Customers select the products, their specifications, quantities and any options available on the website.

Before payment, a summary allows the customer to check, in particular:

  • the contents of their order;
  • quantities;
  • product features;
  • the delivery address;
  • the price;
  • delivery charges;
  • the total amount payable.

The customer is responsible for the accuracy of the information they provide.

The order becomes final once it has been confirmed and payment has been received.

Payment is processed by the payment service provider listed on the website, currently SumUp.

If payment fails, the order is not considered definitively confirmed until payment has actually been accepted.

Press Start Cards may cancel an order before it is processed if fulfilment is objectively impossible, in particular in the event of technical impossibility, a manifest pricing error, exceptional unavailability or manifestly unlawful content. In such cases, any sums paid will be refunded.

ARTICLE 6 — FILES SUPPLIED BY THE CUSTOMER

For personalised products, the customer remains responsible for the files, text, images, logos, photographs, illustrations, fonts, trademarks and other elements they provide.

The customer warrants that they hold all necessary rights, licences and authorisations, in particular to:

  • Submission of files to Press Start Cards ;
  • their temporary storage;
  • their technical processing;
  • their reproduction;
  • their printing;
  • their cutting;
  • their finish;
  • their packaging;
  • their delivery.

This authorisation is granted to Press Start Cards exclusively for the purposes of fulfilling the order and carrying out the technical operations associated with it.

In particular, the customer warrants that the files supplied do not infringe any copyright, related rights, trade marks, designs, image rights, personality rights or any other third-party rights.

Press Start Cards does not, unless specifically provided for, carry out a legal audit of the rights attached to the files submitted by the customer.

The manual check carried out prior to printing constitutes a technical check and does not constitute an editorial, legal or spelling correction service.

This check may cover, amongst other things, the format, dimensions, apparent integrity of the file, the number of files, registration marks, elements required for printing or obvious incompatibilities.

This does not guarantee the absence of human error.

In the event of serious doubt, a request from a rights holder, or evidence suggesting a clear risk of infringement of third-party rights, Press Start Cards may ask the customer to provide any relevant supporting documentation and temporarily suspend fulfilment of the order in question.

ARTICLE 7 — BLIND AREA, SAFETY MARGIN AND PROJECT APPROVAL

Where specified in the service description, the customer must adhere to the templates, dimensions, bleed areas and safety margins indicated on the website and in the templates provided.

As a guide, customised cards typically feature a bleed area of up to 1.5 mm and a safety margin located inside the cutting line.

When a customer provides an image without a bleed and selects the option allowing Press Start Cards to automatically extend the edges, the extension is technically carried out based on the image provided.

This process may be less suitable for certain photographs, textures, complex patterns or gradients.

The preview generated by the configurator allows you to view the bleed, the trim line, the safety margins and the content.

The customer is responsible for checking this preview before confirming the order.

Approval of a preview constitutes approval of the elements actually visible therein, including the content, framing, orientation and position of the elements.

However, this acceptance does not in any way deprive the customer of their applicable statutory rights, nor does it cover any manufacturing defect attributable to Press Start Cards.

A defect or error that is clearly visible in the preview and has nevertheless been approved by the customer cannot normally be held against Press Start Cards at a later date, where it results directly from the customer’s file or instructions.

ARTICLE 8 — COLOURS AND PHYSICAL FINISH

The colours displayed on screen may differ from the printed result, due in particular to:

  • depending on the screen used;
  • its settings;
  • colour profile;
  • the printing process;
  • support;
  • inks or consumables;
  • the finishing applied.

The digital preview is therefore not a physical colour proof.

Where a physical proof is expressly offered and ordered, this shall serve as the benchmark for assessing colour reproduction.

In the absence of a physical proof, normal colour variations between the screen and the printed product do not, in themselves, constitute a breach of conformity.

ARTICLE 9 — MANUFACTURING AND FINISHING TOLERANCES

The production of small batches, particularly using digital printing and die-cutting, involves tolerances inherent to the process.

Unless otherwise expressly agreed in writing, the customer accepts, in particular, the following options:

Cutting: a local deviation in the cut of up to 3 mm from the theoretical cutting line.

Double-sided registration: there may be a slight misalignment between the two sides.

Rounded corners: rounded corners may show slight variations in position or symmetry. In particular, they may be slightly flattened, shortened, irregular or partially ‘planed down’, depending on the actual position of the cut.

Lamination and finishing: lamination or finishing may exhibit slight variations in edge finish, gloss, flatness or appearance, which are inherent to the process.

Flatness: certain lamination or finishing processes may cause the material to warp or bend slightly.

Colour and density: slight variations may occur between print runs or on different types of paper.

These characteristics are inherent to small-batch production and must be taken into account when designing the files.

Provided they remain within the stated tolerances and do not prevent the normal use of the product, these do not constitute a manufacturing defect.

This provision shall not have the effect of excluding statutory guarantees or covering a defect that manifestly exceeds the agreed characteristics.

ARTICLE 10 — PRODUCTION TIMES

For personalised products, the lead time usually quoted by Press Start Cards is generally between 2 and 15 working days, depending on the type of product, the quantity ordered, the finishes chosen and the production workload.

Some products may display a specific lead time at the time of ordering. The applicable lead time is therefore that displayed at the time the order is confirmed, subject to any applicable mandatory legal provisions.

The production lead time begins from the moment when:

  • the order has been paid for;
  • the necessary information has been provided;
  • The files required for production are available in a usable format;
  • and, where approval is required, the customer has approved the design.

The lead times shown on the website are estimates of processing and production times and do not constitute a guarantee that production will be completed on the exact date specified, unless a firm date or deadline has been expressly agreed.

Unforeseen circumstances may result in the estimated delivery time being extended, including:

  • equipment failure or unavailability;
  • maintenance or technical fault;
  • supply shortages or delays;
  • problems with electricity, the IT network or telecommunications;
  • exceptional increase in production workload;
  • Need to resume production;
  • a technical or human error;
  • temporary unavailability of a member of staff required for production;
  • Technical issue affecting a file or its transmission.

These events may affect the production schedule without, on their own, constituting automatic recognition of force majeure.

The rights and obligations laid down by law remain applicable, in particular with regard to the statutory delivery period.

In the absence of an agreed delivery time, the statutory rules on delivery apply. Légifrance

ARTICLE 11 — DELIVERY

Orders are dispatched using the delivery methods offered at the time of ordering, including via La Poste, depending on the nature and weight of the parcel.

For France, delivery times are generally estimated at around 48 to 72 hours for certain parcels, or several days depending on the delivery method chosen.

For other European Union countries and Switzerland, delivery times are generally longer.

The delivery times quoted by Press Start Cards are estimates provided for information purposes only and may vary depending on the carrier, the country, the time of year, weather conditions, industrial action, customs checks and any specific circumstances affecting delivery.

For Switzerland, any customs duties, import taxes, clearance charges or other fees charged by the customs authorities or the carrier are, unless otherwise stated at the time of ordering, payable by the recipient.

ARTICLE 12 — LOSS, DELAY OR TRANSPORT INCIDENT

A delay in tracking information, a temporary lack of tracking updates or a delivery time exceeding the estimated time provided does not, in itself, constitute proof that the letter or parcel has been permanently lost.

In the event of an issue, Press Start Cards may request the necessary information from the customer and, where relevant, lodge a claim or carry out an enquiry with the carrier before deciding on the next course of action.

No reprints or refunds will be issued automatically simply because of a delay, a temporary lack of tracking information or a suspected loss.

Once a loss has been confirmed, Press Start Cards applies the relevant legal obligations as well as, where applicable, the carrier’s terms and conditions.

Where the carrier proposed by Press Start Cards is used, the statutory rules relating to the transfer of risk apply. The risk of loss or damage cannot be contractually transferred to the consumer until they have taken physical possession of the goods. Légifrance

Where the customer chooses, in addition to the options offered by Press Start Cards, a carrier other than that proposed by Press Start Cards, the legal rules governing the transfer of risk applicable in such cases may apply from the moment the goods are handed over to that carrier.

ARTICLE 13 — CANCELLATION OF A CUSTOMISED ORDER

For personalised products, Press Start Cards allows, as a matter of policy, the cancellation of an order with a refund provided that production has not yet begun.

Once production has actually begun, cancellation at the customer’s request is no longer guaranteed.

However, this provision does not deprive the customer of their legally recognised rights, in particular those arising from statutory guarantees or mandatory rules.

Where an order is cancelled by Press Start Cards prior to fulfilment for a valid reason, any sums actually received in respect of the order will be refunded.

ARTICLE 14 — RIGHT OF WITHDRAWAL

14.1. Finished and packaged products

Where a finished and packaged product has not been personalised to the customer’s specifications, the consumer has, provided the legal conditions are met, a period of fourteen days from receipt of the product to exercise their right of withdrawal.

The right of withdrawal is not automatically excluded simply because the product’s packaging has been opened.

However, the consumer may be held liable for any depreciation resulting from handling of the goods that is not necessary to establish their nature, characteristics and proper functioning, under the conditions set out in Article L.221-23 of the Consumer Code. Légifrance

The product must be returned in accordance with the terms and conditions provided by Press Start Cards.

The consumer is responsible for the direct costs of returning goods where they have been informed of this in advance.

Refunds are processed in accordance with the applicable legal provisions.

For products sold in assortments, at random or where the individual contents are not guaranteed, the fact of not having received a card, a token, a die, an item number, a rarity or any other specific item requested by the customer does not, in itself, constitute a lack of conformity where the product delivered corresponds to the characteristics stated at the time of ordering.

14.2. Personalised products

In accordance with Article L.221-28(3) of the Consumer Code, the right of withdrawal does not apply to goods made to the consumer’s specifications or clearly personalised. Légifrance

This includes, in particular, products manufactured using the customer’s own files, text, illustrations, dimensions, quantities, configurations or specific instructions.

This exclusion of the right of withdrawal does not affect the applicable statutory guarantees.

ARTICLE 15 — STATUTORY GUARANTEE OF CONFORMITY

Products sold to consumers are covered by the statutory guarantee of conformity under the conditions set out in Articles L.217-3 et seq. of the Consumer Code.

The seller is liable, in particular, for any lack of conformity existing at the time of delivery and becoming apparent within two years, in accordance with the conditions laid down by law. Légifrance

In the event of a lack of conformity, the consumer may request that the goods be brought into conformity, in particular by repair or replacement, and then, under the conditions laid down by law, a price reduction or the termination of the contract. Légifrance

For personalised products, this guarantee does not cover:

  • content or an error arising exclusively from the file supplied by the customer;
  • a feature specifically chosen or approved by the customer;
  • a variation within the stated and accepted technical tolerances;
  • a fault resulting exclusively from the inappropriate use or storage of the product.

This disclaimer does not limit the consumer’s statutory rights.

ARTICLE 16 — WARRANTY AGAINST HIDDEN DEFECTS

The products sold are also covered by the statutory guarantee against hidden defects provided for in Articles 1641 et seq. of the Civil Code.

In particular, the seller is obliged to provide a warranty against hidden defects in the goods sold which render them unfit for their intended purpose or so impair that use that the buyer would not have purchased them, or would have paid a lower price, had they been aware of such defects. Légifrance

ARTICLE 17 — COMPLAINTS AND AFTER-SALES SERVICE

Any complaints must be addressed to Press Start Cards using the contact form available on the website or using the contact details provided in the legal notice.

To help us process your order, please provide the following:

  • the order number;
  • the product in question;
  • a detailed description of the problem;
  • photographs where the issue is visual;
  • any useful information that helps to identify the fault.

For personalised products, Press Start Cards may ask the customer to keep the product in its original condition until the analysis has been completed.

The commercial complaints procedure shall not have the effect of limiting the exercise of statutory guarantees.

ARTICLE 18 — LIABILITY RELATING TO CUSTOMER CONTENT

The customer remains responsible for the content they submit to Press Start Cards and for any rights they claim to hold over such content.

Press Start Cards accepts no legal liability for the choice of images, logos, photographs, trademarks, text or illustrations supplied by the customer where these have been imposed on or sent to the company for printing.

In the event of a claim by a third party arising from content supplied by the customer, the customer undertakes to cooperate with Press Start Cards and to provide any supporting documentation demonstrating that they hold the necessary rights or authorisations.

Where legally permitted, the direct consequences of a breach attributable to the customer may be charged to them to the extent of their actual liability.

Nothing in this article shall have the effect of excluding any liability that cannot be lawfully excluded.

ARTICLE 19 — INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

The elements belonging to Press Start Cards, in particular its text, photographs, graphics, logos, designs, templates and editorial content, remain the property of or their respective rights holders.

Files and designs submitted by the customer remain the property of their respective rights holders.

Submitting a file to Press Start Cards does not entail any transfer of intellectual property rights.

Press Start Cards ’s use of customers’ files is strictly limited to the fulfilment of the order.

With regard to the ‘Press Start Cards’ range, details concerning artwork, trademarks and editorial content are set out in the website’s legal notice.

ARTICLE 20 — PHOTOGRAPHS AND COMMUNICATION

Press Start Cards does not publish customers’ personalised designs for promotional or portfolio purposes without specific authorisation where this is required.

Any optional authorisation requested at the time of ordering is separate from the order itself.

ARTICLE 21 — FORCE MAJEURE AND EXCEPTIONAL CIRCUMSTANCES

Press Start Cards shall not be held liable for any delay or failure to perform arising directly from an event beyond its reasonable control which meets the legal criteria for force majeure.

Whilst not automatically constituting force majeure, certain incidents may also temporarily disrupt production, including a major equipment failure, an IT incident, an exceptional disruption to the supply chain, the unavailability of a service provider or a disaster.

In such situations, Press Start Cards will inform the customer within a reasonable timeframe if the disruption significantly affects the order.

ARTICLE 22 — PERSONAL DATA

Personal data is processed in accordance with the Privacy Policy available on the website.

This policy sets out, in particular, the data processing carried out in connection with orders, contact enquiries, the operation of the website and the tools used by Press Start Cards.

ARTICLE 23 — SETTLEMENT OF DISPUTES

In the event of any difficulties, customers are asked to contact Press Start Cards in the first instance to seek an amicable solution.

These Terms and Conditions are governed by French law, subject to any mandatory provisions that may apply to the consumer by virtue of their place of residence.

No provision of these Terms and Conditions shall deprive the consumer of the mandatory rules on jurisdiction applicable to them.

ARTICLE 24 — AMENDMENTS TO THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Press Start Cards may amend these Terms and Conditions at any time.

The version applicable to an order is the one accepted by the customer at the time the contract is concluded.

Any subsequent changes will not apply to orders that have already been placed.

ARTICLE 25 — PARTIAL INVALIDITY

Should any provision of these Terms and Conditions be declared void, unenforceable or unlawful, the remaining provisions shall remain in force to the extent permitted by law.

The provision in question would be replaced or interpreted, as far as possible, in such a way as to comply with the original economic and legal objective without infringing the customer’s mandatory rights.
